ADELE ZANE
Singer and songwriter ADELE ZANE has performed at such prestigious New York City jazz clubs as the world famous Birdland, the hot Iridium Jazz Room and the cutting edge Cutting Room. Lauded by critics Zane has also performed at diverse Manhattan venues such as Ciel Rouge (named Manhattan's Best Lounge in New York Magazine), Eighty Eight's, Danny's Skylight Room, The Bitter End, Pyramid Club and CBGB's.
Born in Brazil and raised in San Francisco, Zane worked the Bay Area music circuit while attending San Francisco State University’s Voice Performance program. The talented singer consistently sold out legendary San Francisco rooms such as “Fanny’s,” “The Plush Room,” “Trinity Place,” “132 Bush,” ”Bix,” and “Zuni Café,” leading the local music council to name her “Best Newcomer” and “Most Promising Female Vocalist.”
Zane's first CD, Each Time, featuring two original compositions that she co-wrote with pianist and composer Frank Ponzio was released in 2000. Her second CD So Blue was released in March of 2005. She is currently at work on her third CD.
